Hi, I’m Lipika M Gupta, the face and hands behind Quill on Paper, a calligraphy and gifting studio based in Bangalore, India.
With a Masters in Accounting & Finance, I picked it up at 24 simply because I liked the way it looked and wanted a break from my everyday work. I started sharing what I was learning on Instagram, curious to see where it might lead. A few months later, Michael Kors became my first client.
Since then, I’ve trained with calligraphers from around the world and worked with brands including Louis Vuitton, Cartier, Jo Malone London and Google. Over the years, I’ve learnt there’s much more to this craft than beautiful lettering. And even after all these years, I still love hearing “wow, that’s beautiful.”
